Day-Use Entrance (Casco)

Use this entrance for the beach, a picnic, the boat launch or the Casco-side trails. Maine Trail Finder gives these directions:

You pay at the entry booth or, when it is unstaffed, at a self-service station. Bring cash: the Bureau says only some parks take cards, and only when the booth is staffed.

Campground Entrance (Naples)

The campground is south of Route 302 in Naples. The Bureau's directions are Route 302 to downtown Naples, then State Park Road to Campground Road. Campers must arrive and register between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., and day visitors to a campsite are allowed between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. after paying the day-use fee. See the campground.

Songo Lock and the Veteran's Fishing Pier

State Park Road crosses the Songo River at Songo Lock, between the two entrances. The Songo Lock Veteran's Fishing Pier, where the Songo and Crooked rivers meet, has its own small parking area, an accessible path, a picnic table and a toilet, and the Bureau charges no fee there. See Songo Lock.

Where to Park in Winter

The park stays open in winter. For the groomed ski and snowshoe trails on the Casco side, the Bureau's winter map lists parking at park headquarters, at the boat launch and at the East Area. On the Naples side, the entrance to the campground road is plowed so you can park and reach the ungroomed trails. See winter at the park.

Check Conditions Before You Go

The Bureau posts closures and conditions by text: send SEBAGO to 888-514-7527 to get the park's condition alerts before you set out.

Tour Buses and Groups

Commercial bus tours pay $75 a bus per trip and must reserve by calling the park at (207) 693-6231. Groups that want a shelter should book one; see picnic areas.
